Phil Rose: Tricky one this. For "historical integrity", it should go back where it was. However, the relative lack of visibility made it a magnet for after-dark mischief. So it would need to be in plain sight, but not blocking a view. Perhaps closer to Beacon Hill, opposite the end of Belle Vue Road. Maybe in the Memorial Park, just round the corner from our part-time police station. It might be worth putting up two or three Shelters on the Pier, once the sports hall is demolished.
Unfortunately the previous location is now unsuitable and as we discussed, the shelter needs to be moved to the top of the slope in a location that does not obstruct residents views from their houses.
