Victorian Shelter > Any other thoughts...

Phil Rose: Here's an unconfirmed report from Whitstable - "both West Beach and Tankerton have similar wooden Victorian shelters. The one on West Beach was burnt down circa 1995-2000 and rebuilt by CCC. The one on the slope above the golf coures was burnt down subsequently 2000-2005 and not rebuilt."

At a recent HBMP there was discussion/dithering about the possible location of a threepenny shelter toward Hampton. I think I've remembered that correctly - any mileage for us bidding for that? I believe it's very old and has been reburbished and is ready to erect.

Victorian Shelter: definitely arson. Unanimous desire to have it rebuilt. Consensus that it should be as close as is feasible to the original design, but probably of more robust materials. Opinions varied as to the best location for the replacement.
Action: GR to confirm that CCC will rebuild the Shelter.
Action: PR to canvass opinions and forward to CCC.
